    Drum roll please - The Grand Prize Winner for the Name that Tune Challenge is:  Tessa Slogur!  Please see Geno for your prize.  The song was “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” by Pearl Jam.  The song title is incredibly long as a response to all the short titled songs from Pearl Jam’s 1st album Ten.  Thanks to all of you who layed! And for those of you who do not know about the challenge - a new song will be posted today on the bulletin board outside of the main office - the instructions on how to play are also on the board.

    Senior Raider Games shirts - are available to order.  Please see Mrs. Ferguson in the main office, Mrs. Peet, or your senior seminar teacher for an order form.  Please return your orders to Mrs. Ferguson or Mrs. Peet.  The deadline for ordering your shirt is Tuesday, April 23rd.  Cost is $12.00 per shirt.

    YES - you will also get a Senior Class of 24 shirt that is FREE.  This shirt is for Raider Games!

    Attention Junior Class of 2025 - Raider Games Shirts are on sale for $10 during lunches.  

    Attention Freshmen -  Raider Games Shirts are on sale!  Orders will be taken during all three lunches.  The cost is $10.00 for sizes Small through 2XL or $11 for 3XL.  Money is due at the time of ordering.  Cash or check only will be accepted.

    Pay it Forward -  The Pay It Forward Club will meet in Mr. Hummel’s room today after school.  We will be cleaning and making beautiful our courtyard area.  Dress appropriately for weather and the distinct possibility of you getting dirty.  See you then!

    GCI students - Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17th, 3rd session GCI will be excused due to the reduced day.  1st and 2nd session need to attend GCI as normal.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Lister in the Guidance Office.

    Matchmaker Survey Results - If there are any students who would like to purchase your Matchmaker survey results and have not, please see Ms. Byrski in Room 514 today!  No surveys will be available after today.

    The Battle of the Grades will begin at Cops and Robbers this Saturday and last the whole month of April.  Stop by Cops and Robbers to purchase the sundae created by your class.  When you purchase a sundae, you will help your class earn bragging rights as the most popular sundae creators and Cops and Robbers will donate 50 cents to your class. 

    The Tasty Creations are as follows: 

    Freshmen: Twist Ice Cream with hot fudge, brownie bites and cookie dough.

    Sophomore - Strawberry Ice Cream with hot fudge, cheesecake and cookie dough.

    Juniors - Vanilla with fudge and brownie ice cream with hot fudge, cookie dough and Oreos.

    Seniors: S’more Ice Cream with hot fudge, caramel and marshmallow.

    All sundaes will also come with whipped cream and a cherry!  

    Head out to Cops and Robbers the entire month to help your class succeed.

    Prom 2024 - if you are planning on bringing a guest to our prom on May 11th, you’ll need a guest pass.  Guest passes are available in the attendance office and are due May 3rd.

    Dodgeball - Flushing High school, there is a major event happening at school: DODGEBALL!  Not just any dodgeball tournament…a dodgeball tournament where teachers and students will go head-to-head in the arena for bragging rights and to be the best dodgeball team in the school. This is how it’s going to go down. You’ll have teams consisting of 8 to 10 people. Anybody can be on a team - A team of seniors or a team of freshmen and all in between, or you can mix it up a little bit. Want to play but don’t have a full team? Register anyway and we will place you on a team! Either way, at the end of the day, there can only be one team to win. Will you build the best team?

    The dodgeball tournament will be held on Thursday, May 2nd and will be open for students and families to attend! The finals will be on May 3rd, at Raider Games!
