2020 Census

The 2020 Census is quickly approaching. It is important to our community and to our schools that all who are contacted participate in the process. Please take the time to read the links below to learn more about the importance of the census and how the results impact Flushing and Flushing Community Schools.

Initial invitations to participate will arrive by mail between March 12-20. All participants can choose to respond online, by mail or by phone. For those that don't respond right away, reminders will be received in the mail. For those that don't respond by April 27, a census worker will make a home visit.

Please note that any Census worker arriving at your home can be identified by:

  • Their badge which will include the name, photograph, Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date.
  • They will have an official bag and Census Bureau issued electronic device bearing the Census Buruau logo.
  • Census takers and field representatives will conduct their work between the hours of 9:00am and 9:00pm local time.
