To: Flushing Community Schools’ Parents/Guardians,

This communication is to make you aware of a few changes that are occurring in our school district this year as it pertains to our breakfast and lunch programs.

The great news is that our district is now participating in the Community Eligibility Program which means that all Flushing students will receive free breakfast and lunch this year. We know how important this is to our families.

We do understand that sometimes our students elect to make purchases at meal times for extra meal items or beverages. In previous years, parents used MySchoolBucks to make electronic payments onto their student’s meal accounts. That system is changing.

Starting this year, parents can now log into the Meal Magic Family Portal through the school district’s website to create a parent account and make payments to your child’s account.

Also available through the same Meal Magic Family Portal is the ability to complete the Education benefit Form. Having this form completed by every single family will help ensure that the school district is eligible for maximum grant funding in many areas. We appreciate your help with completing this form.

Please access the portal through the district’s website under Quick Links. Select Online Payments-School Meals to get started.

We can’t wait to have all of our students back in school beginning Monday, August 28^th.
